Tso Moriri

Tso Moriri is quieter and more remote than Pangong, with a broad high-altitude lake, open Changthang landscapes, and a strong sense of distance. The scenery is spacious and minimal: blue water, wind-shaped plains, grazing land, and mountains that change colour through the day. The route often includes Korzok village, wildlife sightings, and long stretches of empty road. It suits travellers who want fewer crowds, slower photography, and a deeper Ladakh journey after they have adjusted to the altitude.
